Tim McGraw<\/a><\/strong> and Faith Hill<\/a>‘<\/strong>s daughter, Audrey McGraw<\/a><\/strong>, made a bold confession about launching her music career as the child of two country legends.<\/p>\n On Oct. 13, Audrey, 23, sat down with Maren Morris<\/a><\/strong> and Sheryl Crow<\/a><\/strong>for the second episode of Elle and Spotify’s Three Generations of Songwriters<\/a> series.<\/p>\n \ud83c\udfac\u00a0<\/strong>SIGN UP for Parade\u2019s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\ud83c\udfac<\/strong><\/p>\n During the trio’s sit-down, Morris asked Audrey if there was one song that made her feel like a “solidified” songwriter.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know, I think the first solid song I wrote, I was maybe 17,” the youngest of Tim and Faith’s three daughters shared. “I\u2019m pretty sure I called it \u2018Mental Breakdown\u2019 because I was having a mental breakdown when I wrote it.”<\/p>\n Audrey continued, “And I showed it to my parents, and I was so scared to show it to them because everything I made, I hid. So I was always nervous to show them what I wrote.\u201d<\/p>\n She explained, \u201cI showed them this one song. My dad was like, ‘Why are you going to drama school? Why do you want to be an actor? Are you sure?’ And I was like, ‘Why, is it good?’ And he was like, ‘It’s pretty good.’ And that song hasn\u2019t seen the light of day. But I think [he gave] me the confidence I showed him the song.”<\/p>\n Crow then joked, “Now watch, you’ll put that out someday, and that’ll be your biggest song.”<\/p>\n On Oct. 14, Tim took to Instagram<\/a> to give Audrey a shout-out after spotting an ad promoting Audrey’s sit-down with Morris and Crow. “Our baby girl in Times Square!!!” the proud dad exclaimed.<\/p>\n Related: Tim McGraw Announces Major Career Move After Serious Health Struggle<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Audrey released her first single in April, her version of the Neil Diamond<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0track \u201cI Am\u2026 I Said.” Additionally, she went on tour with Brandi Carlile<\/strong><\/a> over the summer.
