From the start of her career as a singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez<\/a> <\/strong>has always had a soft spot for musicals and the magic of Broadway<\/strong>. Now that she\u2019s debuting in musical cinema with Kiss of the Spider Woman<\/a><\/strong>, she got candid about why a Broadway run might remain out of reach for now.<\/p>\n The Atlas<\/a> star recently admitted that she has always dreamed of doing Broadway. However, her jam-packed schedule with movies and music hasn\u2019t really given her the time.<\/p>\n During a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Jennifer Lopez shared, \u201cI\u2019ve always thought about it. I\u2019ve always had a fantasy of doing Broadway, but my life has always been the music and the movies, so there\u2019s never been a time.\u201d<\/p>\n Lopez further elaborated on the prospect of doing multiple performances a week. She added, \u201cIt would be a nice thing to slow down and just do one thing for a period of time. But it\u2019s a bigger commitment. And I don\u2019t know if I could do eight shows a week.\u201d<\/p>\n Nevertheless, the \u201cLet\u2019s Get Loud\u201d hitmaker is still not closing the door on Broadway. She said, \u201cAt the right time with the right people and the right person, who knows? We\u2019ll see what comes to fruition when that time comes. But I do think Broadway is in my future.\u201d<\/p>\n Besides that, Jennifer Lopez still dreams about bringing back roles she once had her eye on. One of the Grammy nominee\u2019s favorites is Bye Bye Birdie. Interestingly, it was once reportedly being adapted as a live TV production, with her essaying Rosie.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, that project fell through, but Lopez is still keen to be a part of the musical. \u201cI would die to do\u00a0Bye Bye Birdie. It went away. That was going to be more of a movie, but it would be nice to revive that on Broadway, too,\u201d the 56-year-old stated.<\/p>\n Currently, Jennifer Lopez is putting everything she\u2019s got into Kiss of the Spider Woman, where she plays two roles. She even made sure she perfected the uncut dance scenes.
