Popular country music group Red Clay Strays had a plane ride to remember over the weekend, and the group shared video from inside the bumpy landing to prove it. <\/p>\n
And, well \u2026 a couple of things were going on there. <\/p>\n
For starters, as the plane started bumping and bouncing about, bassist Andrew Bishop fired up Lynyrd Skynyrd to ride it out. That band, of course, lost three members including frontman Ronnie Van Zant in a 1977 plane crash.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf it\u2019s gonna go down, it\u2019s gonna go down to Lynyrd Skynyrd,\u201d Bishop said on the video.<\/b> <\/a>\u201cI think I wanna go back to commercial flights.\u201d<\/p>\n The video showed off that the group was on a fairly small private plane, and not everyone was handling things as well as Bishop. The group members were obviously frightened, and Brandon Coleman threw up. <\/p>\n \u201cHold it together boys,\u201d one of them said. \u201cHold it together boys.\u201d<\/p>\n When they had finally managed to land, Bishop asked the pilots, \u201cSo it doesn\u2019t get much worse than that?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNo, it doesn\u2019t get much worse,\u201d one of the pilots answered. \u201cI mean, you die. That\u2019s about as bad as it gets right there.\u201d<\/p>\n The band then added an explainer in the caption.<\/p>\n \u201cApparently we hit an over 40 degree bank while trying to land in Salt Lake,\u201d it read. \u201cNaturally as we thought the plane was going down, (Bishop) thought it was a good time to play some Skynyrd. Seriously though, thankful to our pilots for their quick thinking and coolness under pressure. Y\u2019all rock!\u201d<\/p>\n Several musicians hit the replies on the video to give their thoughts.<\/p>\n \u201cNope,\u201d Billy Strings wrote. \u201c(Expletive) that all the way. God I hate flying. I have reoccurring nightmares about plane crashes all the time. (Expletive) drives me nuts. I\u2019m typing this on my way to the airport coming home from Dublin.
