Popular rocker Ace Finchum has died. <\/p>\n
He was 62.<\/p>\n
Blabbermouth reported<\/b><\/a> that Finchum died on Oct. 8. Finchum was best known as the drummer for popular metal band Tigertailz, and it was a former bandmate, Steevi Jaimz, who first shared the news.<\/p>\n \u201cI know many of you really cared for Ace, and I am sorry to be the bearer of tragic, heart-breaking news,\u201d Jaimz wrote on Facebook. \u201cBut sadly Ace passed away at the weekend. Thoughts and prayers to Danny, Rob, Donna and Scott.\u201d<\/p>\n The site said that Finchum had been living in the United States. <\/p>\n He was a member of Tigertailz classic lineup with Jaimz, Pepsi Tate and Jay Pepper. <\/p>\n He is the second of the group to die after Tate died after battling cancer back in 2007, per Blabbermouth. <\/p>\n The outlet said that the band has the distinction of being the only band from the United Kingdom to share in some of the success of \u201chairspray heavies like Motley Crue, L.A. Guns, W.A.S.P. and Poison. <\/p>\n The band released its first album, \u201cYoung & Crazy\u201d in 1987, and in 1987 it dropped \u201cBerzerk,\u201d which enjoyed commercial success. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m devastated to hear that our original Tigertailz drummer, Ace Finchum, has passed away,\u201d Pepper wrote on the band\u2019s Facebook page. \u201cFrom the chaos of \u2018Young & Crazy\u2019 to the fire of \u2018Berzerk,\u2019 we lived those moments like our lives depended on it \u2014 and maybe they did.
