The audience at the Los Angeles stop on Playboi Carti\u2019s Antagonist Tour<\/a> was treated to a hometown surprise when Kendrick Lamar made a surprise appearance. Carti and Lamar performed their collaboration \u201cGood Credit,\u201d which appeared on the Atlanta rapper\u2019s latest album Music<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n On Instagram, Carti wrote that bringing Lamar out in Los Angeles was \u201conly right.\u201d In April, when Lamar and SZA were on the Grand National Tour, Carti surprised fans with an appearance at the Atlanta stop for a performance of \u201cGood Credit.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n In March, Carti released Music<\/a><\/em> as a follow-up to 2020\u2019s Whole Lotta Red. <\/em>The album featured a staggering track list of 30 songs and featured appearances from Lamar, the Weeknd, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, and more. Lamar and Carti collaborated on two additional songs on Music<\/em>, including \u201cMojo Jojo\u201d and \u201cBackd00r,\u201d but \u201cGood Credit\u201d is the stage-ready cut.<\/p>\n In August, Lamar made a similar appearance during Clipse\u2019s Los Angeles concert. They performed \u201cChains & Whips\u201d from Clipse\u2019s long-awaited album, Let God Sort Em Out<\/em>, which arrived earlier this year. \u201cThis is our home city, it\u2019s such a privilege to be in front of motherfucking legends, man,\u201d Lamar told the crowd<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m going to be out there watching with you all, these are my motherfucking people.\u201d<\/p>\n Lamar still has a stretch of shows on the Grand National Tour, which will resume in December with four final shows in Melbourne and Sydney to close out the stadium trek.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Carti\u2019s run is only just getting started. The rapper kicked off the Antagonist Tour on Oct. 3 and has continued working his way through arenas in the U.S. Later this week, he\u2019ll perform in Phoenix, followed by Las Vegas, Denver, and Saint Paul, Minnesota.
