Now she\u2019s landed her first post-SNL gig, and it\u2019s pretty fitting if I do say so myself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Nwodim will be performing in a solo comedy show Off-Broadway as part of LCT3 and Seaview\u2019s <em>The Comedy Series<\/em> Off-Broadway, per <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/article\/snl-star-ego-nwodim-joins-off-broadways-the-comedy-series\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Playbill;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Playbill<\/a>. This production is a series of live comedy shows from notable comedians. Honestly, to me, this is right up Nwodim\u2019s alley, considering her seven-year tenure on SNL and knowledge of what it takes to perform comedy live. Nwodim will be making her Off-Broadway debut from November 19-23 at Lincoln Center\u2019s Claire Tow Theater, and I&#8217;m hoping the fans show up in full force.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">After Ego Nwodim joined <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> in Season 44, she became a fan-favorite and had some pretty memorable moments as well. Most notably, a <em>Weekend Update<\/em> bit she performed during Season 50 accidentally prompted<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/colin-jost-couldn-t-stop-130645290.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:the audience to scream an obscenity;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\"> the audience to scream an obscenity<\/a>, and it was hilarious. Though the episode, which is streaming with a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/streaming\/articles\/peacock-subscription-plans-price-included-140420036.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Peacock subscription;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Peacock subscription<\/a>, has since been censored, it&#8217;s no less funny.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Throughout her time on the series, Nwodim <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/just-found-snl-cast-members-174339884.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:got a lot of airtime;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">got a lot of airtime<\/a>, and she previously revealed that she would pitches as early as possible since writers were usually busy with other cast members. Not a bad strategy if I do say so myself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Whether or not Nwodim will bring any kind of SNL-esque characterizations to her comedy show is unknown, but I&#8217;d expect her to at least exude a similar kind of energy. If anything, fans who&#8217;ve watched SNL<em> surely <\/em>know Nwodim has what it takes to perform before audiences, and I couldn\u2019t be more excited for what this could mean for her career. If she does come out as a rich aunt without any kids to worry about, though&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Meanwhile, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/upcoming-snl-hosts-musical-guests-200400303.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:SNL Season 51;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\"><em>SNL <\/em>Season 51<\/a> premiered on NBC on October 4, and it&#8217;s been entertaining thus far. And, this coming weekend, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/tv\/articles\/sabrina-carpenter-had-4-word-145507559.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Sabrina Carpenter will be pulling double duty;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Sabrina Carpenter will be pulling double duty<\/a> as host and musical guest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Even though Ego Nwodim seems to be doing fine post-SNL so far, I&#8217;d still love to see her return to Studio 8H at some point either as a host or in a cameo role.
