Hanna-Barbera produced the Space Age show that counted William Hanna and Joseph Barbera as co-creators.<\/p>\n A live-action feature version has been in various stages of development throughout the decades, with The Hollywood Reporter reporting in 2003 that Adam Shankman was attached to direct. Such filmmakers as Robert Rodriguez and Conrad Vernon have also been in talks at different stages over the years.<\/p>\n Back in 2017, ABC ordered a pilot<\/a> for a live-action television version from executive producer Robert Zemeckis. The project did not end up going to series.<\/p>\n Carrey\u2019s recent film credits have mostly been limited to his portrayal of Dr. Robotnik in Paramount\u2019s live-action Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, with the actor playing a dual role in last year\u2019s third theatrical installment. Carrey\u2019s last movie outside of the Sonic series was the drama Dark Crimes that made its festival premiere in 2016.<\/p>\n Trevorrow\u2019s latest feature as a director was 2022\u2019s Jurassic World Dominion.
