Universal Destinations & Experiences has announced details on themed lands that children will experience at the upcoming\u00a0Universal Kids Resort<\/a>, which is specifically designed for families with young children.<\/p>\n The resort will open in Frisco,\u00a0Texas<\/a>,\u00a0next year, with attractions in seven lands, featuring iconic brands and characters:<\/p>\n \u2022 DreamWorks\u2019 Shrek\u2019s Swamp \u201cUniversal Kids Resort<\/a>\u00a0embodies the spirit of igniting thrill that drives everything we create\u2014designed to bring our youngest guests and families together through play, creativity, and beloved characters and stories,\u201d said Molly Murphy, President of\u00a0Universal Creative<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a destination made for kids and, as a regional theme park, brings Universal\u2019s signature storytelling to families close to home.\u201d<\/p>\n Visitors enter through the Isle of Curiosity, the spot to join Gabby from Gabby\u2019s Dollhouse for a special meet and greet and a pawsome dance party. At Shrek\u2019s Swamp, kids and their families will have a chance to meet Shrek and Fiona, and take photos in the onion carriage. Two interactive play areas will allow kids to stomp and\/or splash away.<\/p>\n Families can visit Puss in Boots Del Mar and meet the fearless hero along with Mama Luna, Perrito, and friends. Or they can take on the carnival games Barriles de Leche and El Gato\u2019s Meow. At Illumination\u2019s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, the Yellow Minions attempt to rein in their Purple counterparts, leading to water-soaked fun. Families can take part in this action-packed competition or simply watch the chaos unfold.<\/p>\n At Jurassic World Adventure Camp, kids can meet a newly hatched baby dinosaur or climb up the Lookout Towers play area to get a Pteranodon\u2019s view of the park.<\/p>\n Universal Kids Resort also features multiple sensory gardens designed to give children and families opportunities to reset. These spaces invite guests to explore through touch, sound, and color in calming, nature-inspired settings, creating moments of balance within a day full of play.<\/p>\n Over at TrollsFest, families can meet Poppy, Branch and the rest of the Trolls gang at a glitter-filled meet and greet. Two interactive play areas will offer good Trolls-fashioned fun, including Poppy\u2019s Playland and Trolls Critter Crawl. And at SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, kids can meet SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks in Bikini Bottom.<\/p>\n
