Years after Parks and Recreation<\/a><\/strong> ended, behind-the-scenes stories still crack up fans<\/strong>, and Aziz Ansari<\/a><\/strong> just added another gem involving Adam Scott<\/a><\/strong> to the list. Ansari, best known for playing the smooth-talking, overconfident Tom Haverford on the show, recently shared what he called one of the hardest scenes he ever had to film. Not because it was emotional, but because he just couldn\u2019t stop laughing.<\/p>\n In a recent conversation with Amy Poehler<\/a>, the actor and comedian admitted that filming with Adam Scott, who played Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation, often made it hard for him to keep a straight face. He recalled one scene, in particular, that was almost impossible to finish because they kept cracking up. Moreover, the two would often look at each other and completely lose it.<\/p>\n \u201cWe couldn\u2019t get through it,\u201d Aziz Ansari shared on the Good Hang<\/a> podcast. \u201cThis is the only time I think this ever happened on Parks or anything, where me and Adam were like, \u2018Let\u2019s just film the rest of the stuff and we\u2019ll come back to that. We\u2019ll just come back to the [line],\u2019 because we couldn\u2019t do it,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n The scene comes from the Season 4 episode \u201cBorn and Raised,\u201d where Tom and Ben meet local TV host Joan Callamezzo (played by Mo Collins) for lunch. \u201cThis is the hardest scene I\u2019ve ever had to film in my entire acting career,\u201d Ansari recalled.<\/p>\n Laughing, the Master of None<\/a> star then elaborated, \u201cJoan says, \u2018I\u2019m going to go powder my nose, amongst other things.\u2019 And then she walks away, and then Ben is supposed to say, \u2018Dude, is she going to go powder her vagina?\u2019 And we just couldn\u2019t do it.\u201d<\/p>\n Moreover, Aziz Ansari and Adam Scott broke character several times. Consequently, the crew had to film the other scenes first, before circling back to finish the aforementioned one later. Ansari also praised Mo Collins\u2019 performance in the scene, appreciating how it elevated Scott\u2019s comic responses.<\/p>\n Ansari and Amy Poehler were mainstays on Parks and Recreation for all seven seasons from 2009 to 2015. Adam Scott joined in the last two episodes of Season 2 with Rob Lowe. He stayed as a series regular from Seasons 3 through 7.
