The Cure<\/a> have confirmed they have recorded 13 songs for a new album and are working on the concert film of their Troxy show last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n Intrepid fans of the band have noticed that the bio section on their official website<\/a> has been updated to bring it up to date with their 2025 activity, including the release in June of \u2018Mixes Of A Lost World<\/a>\u2019, a remix album of their acclaimed 2024 comeback record \u2018Songs Of A Lost World<\/a>\u2019, and frontman Robert Smith\u2019s guest appearance during Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s Glastonbury headline set<\/a>.<\/p>\n In addition, they have given confirmation of the work they have been doing on new projects, including the follow-up to \u2018Songs Of A Lost World\u2019, which Smith has been hinting at for over a year<\/a>.<\/p>\n The bio states: \u201cIn March 2025 the band went back into Rockfield Studios to record 13 more songs for a follow up album\u201d.<\/p>\n It also says that after the Glastonbury appearance, Smith went \u201cback into the studio to help re-edit and re-mix The Show Of A Lost World<\/em> film\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Around the time of the release of \u2018Songs Of A Lost World\u2019, Smith said the band had another LP that was \u201cvirtually finished\u201d, as well as a third new record in the works<\/a>. He also indicated that he would be reluctant to head back on the road until at least one of those albums had been completed.<\/p>\n In recent weeks, The Cure have been announcing a slew of major shows for 2026, including a string of UK and Ireland headline shows for the summer<\/a> and festival headline slots at Rock Werchter<\/a>,\u00a0Open\u2019er<\/a>,\u00a0\u00d8ya<\/a>, Nova Rock<\/a>,\u00a0Rock En Seine<\/a>,\u00a0Primavera Sound<\/a>, Electric Castle<\/a>and the\u00a0Isle Of Wight Festival<\/a>.
