Britney Spears has responded to claims made by her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in his upcoming memoir You Thought You Knew<\/em>. In the book, which is set for release later this month, Kevin details his two-year marriage to Britney<\/a> and makes a number of claims about her parenting and mental health.<\/p>\n

The former couple divorced in 2007 and share two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with Kevin obtaining sole physical custody of their children in the same year. In his memoir, the former dancer makes a number of shocking accusations about the singer, including allegations of drug use while breastfeeding and erratic behaviour around their sons. In an excerpt of the book published in the New York Times<\/em><\/a>, Kevin claims that their children would wake up ‘to find [Britney] standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep \u2013 “Oh, you\u2019re awake?<\/em>” \u2013 with a knife in her hand’ before she’d ‘turn around and pad off without explanation.’<\/p>\n
