Legendary New Jersey jacket maker Schott NYC is making a Boss fashion statement.<\/p>\n The Union-based company has announced a \u201cSpringsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere\u201d line of leather jackets and shirts based on the fits of Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in the new period music drama.<\/p>\n \u201cThis collaboration brings together two legacies of American storytelling,\u201d says the companies Jason Schott in promotional material. \u201cJust as the movie takes you inside a pivotal creative moment, these jackets remind us that clothing can hold memory, place and feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n The curated looks include the Deliver Me from Nowhere Jacket, the Asbury Park Bomber, the Freehold Jacket, and a Colts Neck and Haddonfield plaid shirt.<\/p>\n Haddonfield is not part of the \u201cSpringsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere\u201d story, but it is where photographer Frank Stefanko shot the Boss for images that would be on the covers of the albums \u201cDarkness on the Edge of Town\u201d and the \u201cThe River\u201d \u2014 as well as the Springsteen memoir \u201cBorn to Run.\u201d<\/p>\n Schott is also offering a Born to Ride Perfecto Jacket, based on the jacket the Boss wore on the 1975 \u201cBorn to Run\u201d album cover.<\/p>\n Prices start at $85 for the flannel shirts and go up to $1,235 for the Freehold Jacket.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a limited run.<\/p>\n \u201c … Available only in select numbers, each piece is as raw as the original ‘Nebraska’ tapes recorded in Springsteen\u2019s bedroom,\u201d the company states.<\/p>\n Photos of models wearing the jackets in Asbury Park are part of the Schott \u201cSpringsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere\u201d promotional push.<\/p>\n \u201cThe only true way to capture the essence of the collection was to go to the source itself,\u201d said the company on social media. \u201cJust a few miles away from our factory we drove down to Asbury Park, New Jersey, where Springsteen got his start.<\/p>\n “Between the historic venues, local shops and the boardwalk, each location gives either a glaring or subtle nod to the film.\u201d<\/p>\n Schott was founded in 1913 in New York City, and its jackets were made in Perth Amboy for more than 50 years starting in 1940.<\/p>\n The company, run by the third and fourth generations of the Schott family, now has a factory in Union. Their classic black leather Perfecto motorcycle jacket has been worn by Marlon Brando, James Dean, the Ramones and Springsteen.<\/p>\n
