Chloe Trujillo, the wife of Metallica<\/a> bassist Robert Trujillo<\/a>, has released \u201cAs the Sky Is Falling Down\u201d \u2014 the lead single from her forthcoming Rebirth<\/em> EP, out in early 2026.<\/p>\n Like her husband, Chloe also dabbles in a heavy sound. Here, she evokes a power-metal level of grandeur via her operatic vocals and surges of gained-up guitars and cacophonous percussion, while the spoken-word bit in the bridge wouldn\u2019t be out of place in an Iron Maiden song. The four-and-a-half minute track and EP were produced by Jake Carmona.<\/p>\n \u201cThe song is about spiritual transformation through chaos,\u201d Chloe said in a press release. \u201cIt discusses the fall of material illusions and reveals a deeper truth. There\u2019s a saying, \u2018True liberation is not in escaping chaos, but in no longer being disturbed by it.\u2019 I wasn\u2019t allowing the craziness of the world to affect me. Instead, I was creating a lot of art and music.\u201d<\/p>\n Related Video<\/p>\n The track is accompanied by a music video created by Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films. It\u2019s set to premiere later on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n Said Chloe of the clip: \u201cLife still thrives if we let it be free, the beauty of the endless ocean, the giant cliffs, the fresh breeze versus the world of broken screens and the destroyed environment.\u201d<\/p>\n Regarding her upcoming Rebirth<\/em> EP, Chloe remarked that the four-song release was compiled from \u201chundreds of songs waiting to be properly recorded.\u201d The Paris-born, L.A.-based artist already has a handful of full-length albums to her name, 2023\u2019s Spellbook<\/em> being the most recent.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve done all kinds of music, but Jake and I really leaned into metal and hard rock,\u201d she said of the new EP. \u201cHe brought in some great ideas, and we gave it a vibe. We played around with my vocals, balancing the screaming, the ad-libs, and the soulful harmonies.
