Just days after The Cure<\/a> announced a new run of 2026 tour dates<\/a>, the band has confirmed some new music to go along with it, quietly updating their website<\/a> with a note that the band has recorded \u201c13 more songs\u201d for a new album.<\/p>\n In proper The Cure fashion, the news came not in a blast of press releases, but with a modest update to the \u201cbio\u201d section of their website. After noting that the goth icons dropped\u00a0Songs from a Lost World<\/em><\/a> in November 2024, it goes on to say that in \u201cMarch 2025 the band went back into Rockfield Studios to record 13 more songs for a follow up album.\u201d<\/p>\n Get The Cure Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n It unclear whether this new album is the same project Smith teased<\/a> in an earlier Radio X interview, where he described a companion to Songs of a Lost World<\/em> featuring sadder, more melancholic material, some of which was written as far back as 2016.<\/p>\n Related Video<\/p>\n That\u2019s not the only project on the way from The Cure, however.
