Amrit Kapai<\/a> and his husband, Nicholas Kouchoukos<\/a>, are officially parents!<\/p>\nThe Family Karma<\/em> stars, who tied the knot in April 2022, welcomed their baby daughter, Anya Iris Kapai-Kouchoukos, this past weekend via surrogate. Sharing exclusive photos of their little one with PEOPLE, Kapai explains that becoming a father has become his newfound purpose.<\/p>\n“Both Anya and the surrogate are doing well. The first 48 hours of Anya’s life were spent with the surrogate, her mother, Nicholas and I,” he tells PEOPLE. “The four of us spent many hours together in a hospital room with our sleeping beauty.”<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\nAmrit Kapai <\/p>\n

“We had delicate interactions. We smiled, laughed and shed a few tears,” Kapai continues. “When it came time to part ways, we witnessed the most gentle and beautiful goodbye.”<\/p>\n
“We are now a family of three \u2014 well, four, including Theo. It has been a wild ride, but one I desperately needed in this phase of my life. Anya is now my purpose. Nicholas and I are thrilled to embark on the journey of fatherhood,” the TV personality adds.<\/p>\n

“Baby girl hasn’t stopped stretching out her whole body since she was in the womb. She’s constantly moving and squeaking. A bundle of joy!” he adds.<\/p>\n
