It seems fitting that this year\u2019s Creative Collaborator award recipients, Jon M. Chu<\/a>, cinematographer Alice Brooks<\/a> and editor Myron Kerstein<\/a>, are part of the team who brought \u201cWicked<\/a>\u201d and its sequel, \u201cWicked: For Good<\/a>,\u201d to the big screen. The film is a story about friendship and Chu<\/a>, who has known Brooks since their days as film students at USC<\/a>, says, \u201cIt is really even more full-circle to be making a movie like this and explore friendship with my friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWicked<\/a>\u201d is the story of the witches of Oz before \u201cThe Wizard of Oz.<\/a>\u201d Next month, \u201cWicked: For Good<\/a>\u201d brings the story to a close as the friendship of Glinda<\/a> (Ariana Grande<\/a>) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo<\/a>) is put to the test.<\/p>\n

The Creative Collaborators Award will be presented at the Middleburg Film Festival on Oct. 17. The festival runs from Oct. 16\u201319.<\/p>\n
