Cancer treatment and research center, the City of Hope, held its annual Spirit of Life Gala in West Hollywood on Wednesday evening, recognizing Warner Records<\/a> co-chairman and COO<\/a> Tom Corson<\/a>, this year\u2019s Spirit of Life award recipient, who was honored with an introduction from Cher<\/a> and a performance from Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Corson<\/a> joins list of high-profile music executives who\u2019ve previously been given the Spirit of Life award including Jay Marciano<\/a>, Lyor Cohen<\/a>, Lucian Grainge<\/a>, Sylvia Rhone<\/a>, Clive Davis<\/a> and Irving Azoff<\/a> among others. Mo Ostin<\/a>, the late legendary music executive who also served as chairman at Warner<\/a>, was the first-ever recipient of the award back in 1973.<\/p>\n
