Celebrity Traitors viewers were left ‘gutted’ as Clare Balding<\/a> became the latest star to be banished from the hit BBC<\/a> series.<\/p>\n

During Thursday night’s episode, the remaining celebrities gathered around the round table to cast their votes on who they believed was secretly working as a Traitor.<\/p>\n

The beloved journalist and presenter, 54, received the most votes after a whispering campaign by Traitor Jonathan Ross<\/a>, who narrowly avoided getting exposed himself.<\/p>\n

Standing in front of her co-stars, Clare said: ‘I came in with only one strategy, which was to be nice to absolutely everyone.<\/p>\n

‘I’ve had the best time, and I love all of you.<\/p>\n

‘I am, and have been from the start, a… faithful.’<\/p>\n

Clare\u2019s banishment at the round table sparked a wave of reactions from fans, many of whom admitted they were \u2018gutted\u2019.<\/p>\n

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts, penning: ‘Gutted for Clare!’,<\/p>\n

‘Clare is a loss she was consistently making correct observations. The faithfuls have lost a good one (though not for the tasks)’,<\/p>\n

‘Gutted Clare has gone’,<\/p>\n

‘They all were going for Jonathan and then it was Clare who got the boot !?!’,<\/p>\n

‘Not Alan Carr laughing when Clare got banished yet no one noticed it! Poor, useless Faithfuls.’<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the show,\u00a0Traitors Jonathan<\/a>, Alan Carr<\/a> and Cat Burns<\/a> decided to kill off Ruth Codd after she went for Jonathan during the round table.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Discussing their decision, the TV presenter said: ‘Ruth is not going to let it go and I feel like the cloak is getting tighter round my neck.’<\/p>\n

‘This could back fire on you’, said Cat. Jonathan replied, ‘If I was a Traitors I wouldn’t do it, why would I put myself in the firing line’.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alan added: ‘Yeah lets get rid now before she poisons everyone’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Walking into her room to find the letter killing her, Ruth said: ‘I knew this was coming’, before joking, ‘Jonathan and Kate Garraway<\/a>\u00a0are traitors!’<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the episode, Traitors Jonathan Ross , Alan Carr and Cat Burns decided to kill off Ruth Codd after she went for Jonathan during the round table<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

‘I’m mentally extremely strong and I will miss the Faithfuls,’ she added.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

The celebrities were left shocked and confused as the final stars\u00a0Charlotte Church and Stephen Fry arrived at the Scottish castle for breakfast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Several of the stars looked around saying, ‘We’re missing Ruth, I don’t know what that means’.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the camera, Jonathan admitted: ‘Yesterday I had a lot of heat on me so I have to be aware that people are going to be looking at me, I am worried’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Joe Marler said: ‘I think there going to kill Ruth to make it look like Jonathan’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Joe Wilkinson said: ‘I agree I don’t think it’s Jonathan’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
