Al Pacino pays tribute to his late Godfather co-star Diane Keaton after her sudden death at the age of 79<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n Al<\/a>, 85, who had an on-and-off relationship with Diane from 1974 to 1990, honored his ex with a touching message shared by Deadline<\/a> on Thursday, admitting “I was shaken.”<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I first heard the news, I was shaken,\u201d Al’s tribute read, following him admitting that he had “regrets” over his and Diane’s romance<\/a>. \u201cDiane was my partner, my friend, someone who brought me happiness and on more than one occasion influenced the direction of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Although the two hadn’t been with each other in three decades, Al admitted that \u201cthe memories remain vivid, and with her passing, they have returned with a force that is both painful and moving.\u201d<\/p>\n The Scarface star then praised Diane, sharing how she \u201clived without limits, and everything she touched carried her unmistakable energy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Also, the Devil’s Advocate alum raved over her performances on-screen, praising her for being a \u201cmagnetic\u2014lightning and charm” who was a “wonder” given her talent as an actress.<\/p>\n \u201cActing was her art,\u201d Al added. \u201cBut it was only one of the many ways she expressed her imagination and creativity.\u201d<\/p>\n He later penned that \u201cpeople will miss her,\u201d and more importantly, \u201cthey will remember her,\u201d since she \u201cleft a mark that cannot fade.\u201d<\/p>\n Al noted, “She was unstoppable, resilient and above all, deeply human.
