Foo Fighters<\/a> have shared a riffy new teaser on social media \u2013 check it out below.<\/p>\n Last night, the Dave Grohl<\/a>-fronted band took to social media to share a blistering, frenetic teaser of new music. The song has yet to receive a title or a release date, but is captioned with the phrase \u201cabout to take flight\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n The teaser starts off with soaring guitar chords before it switches for a fast-paced riff with pummelling drums. Vol. I\u2019, arrived exclusively on Bandcamp.<\/p>\n It features songs recorded at\u00a0Dave Grohl<\/a>\u00a0and co\u2019s first live gigs together in over a year \u2013 which\u00a0took place last month in San Luis Obispo<\/a>, Santa Ana, Washington D.C. and\u00a0New Haven<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to a press release, \u2018Are Playing Where???\u2019 boasts \u201cabsolutely ripping live tracks recorded in front of dozens, possibly hundreds of lucky fans at the band\u2019s recent surprise club gigs\u201d.<\/p>\n The band\u2019s 11th and latest album,\u00a0\u2018But Here We Are\u2019<\/a>, arrived in 2023. It marked their first material since\u00a0the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins<\/a>\u00a0the previous year, and saw them\u00a0enlist Josh Freese as a touring sticksman<\/a>.<\/p>\n Over the summer, the Foos celebrated their 30th anniversary by releasing a new track called\u00a0\u2018Today\u2019s Song\u2019<\/a>. Earlier this year,\u00a0Freese announced that he had quit Foo Fighters<\/a>\u00a0after they \u201cdecided to go in a different direction with their drummer\u201d. The group have since hired\u00a0Ilan Rubin<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0essentially\u00a0swapping Nine Inch Nails for their ex-touring drummer Freese<\/a>.<\/p>\n Following his first gigs with the band,\u00a0Rubin spoke out about how it felt to join the line-up<\/a>. \u201cAfter keeping my head down for a couple wild months and throwing myself into the material, that first show was such an incredible release of energy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
