Bring it on. The use of AI was a sticking point, and the union ultimately\u00a0won\u00a0protections that <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/toronto\/u-s-actors-secured-ai-protections-when-will-canadians-get-the-same-1.7057213\">limit the ability of studios to use\u00a0AI reproductions of actors <\/a>without informed consent or compensation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>This Saturday, <em>Just Asking<\/em> wants to know: What questions do you have about the future of AI in the arts? Just as animation, puppetry, or CGI opened fresh possibilities without taking away from live acting, AI offers another way to imagine and build stories,&#8221; Van der Velden wrote in\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPIuBbhjLxe\/\"><u>a statement on the Tilly Norwood\u00a0Instagram account<\/u><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\" custom content\" class=\"customHtml\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">How did Tilly Norwood come to be?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Norwood is the first AI creation from Xicoia, an AI talent studio that Van der Velden <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/09\/eline-van-der-velden-particle6-ai-talent-studio-xicoia-1236555680\/\"><u>told Deadline<\/u><\/a> she is launching\u00a0alongside Particle6, her AI company that uses the technology across the media production process, from editing to creating &#8220;digital twins&#8221; of people.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">So far, Norwood has only appeared\u00a0in a brief comedic video called &#8220;<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3sVO_j4czYs\">AI Commissioner<\/a>,&#8221; produced by Particle6. Another added, &#8216;This is so dystopian.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">AI creeping into media landscape<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/09\/eline-van-der-velden-particle6-ai-talent-studio-xicoia-1236555680\/\"><u>According to Deadline<\/u><\/a>,\u00a0Van der Velden\u00a0told an audience at the\u00a0Zurich Summit film conference last weekend that\u00a0people\u00a0in the entertainment industry\u00a0are warming to the idea of using AI.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We were in a lot of boardrooms around February time, and everyone was like, &#8216;No, this is nothing.
