Golden Globe winner Sarah Paulson<\/strong> broke her silence on the death of the legendary Diane Keaton on Oct. 16. The actress walked the red carpet at the premiere of All\u2019s Fair when she was asked about Keaton, who died on Oct. 11, from pneumonia<\/a>.<\/p>\n “She was a very dear friend of mine, so it’s not something I\u2019m able to talk about yet,” Paulson told Access Hollywood<\/a> at the event. She started to get choked up, and repeated, “I’m not able to talk about it.”<\/p>\n “All I can say, and I have been saying tonight, which is important to me to communicate, is that what you thought she was as a performer, she was even more spectacular as a human being. And I was the luckiest person in the world to have had her in my life the way that I did,” she continued. In that moment, the interview ended as Paulson teared up.<\/p>\n Just hours after Keaton’s death was reported, Paulson was seen outside of the “Father of the Bride” star’s home. In paparazzi photos published by Page Six<\/a>, Paulson appeared to be crying.<\/p>\n Keaton’s death was very unexpected and left many of her friends and colleagues shocked. Her family released a statement to People magazine<\/a> days later.<\/p>\n “The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away from pneumonia on October 11,” reads the statement.<\/p>\n “She loved her animals and she was steadfast in her support of the unhoused community, so any donations in her memory to a local food bank or an animal shelter would be a wonderful and much appreciated tribute to her,” the statement continued.<\/p>\n Keaton is survived by her two kids, Dexter and Duke.
