Following July single Today\u2019s Song<\/a> and last month\u2019s live charity EP<\/a>, Foo Fighters seem to be gearing up to release more new music.<\/p>\n

The band have just unveiled an absolutely electrifying snippet of material, with the caption: \u201cAbout to take flight\u2026\u201d As well as sounding killer, fans online are pondering if there\u2019s also more tour dates to come \u2013 especially given Foos\u2019 joke AI video in September<\/a> in which Dave Grohl hinted, \u201cIt\u2019s been a while but I\u2019m happy to announce that Foo Fighters are coming back to bring you that 100 per cent real, raw, human element of rock\u2019n\u2019roll\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Their last album, the 5\/5-rated But Here We Are<\/a>, dropped in 2023. In the Kerrang! review, we said that it \u201cprises beauty from unimaginable suffering\u201d following the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins and Dave\u2019s mother Virginia: \u201cMake no mistake, Foo Fighters have delivered a masterpiece \u2013 one they never would have wanted to have to record, but a masterpiece nonetheless.\u201d<\/p>\n

Upon this summer\u2019s release of Today\u2019s Song, Foos got reflective and posted in a statement, \u201cOver the years, we\u2019ve had moments of unbridled joy, and moments of devastating heartbreak. Moments of beautiful victory, and moments of painful defeat. We have mended broken bones and broken hearts. But we have followed this road together, with each other, for each other, no matter what. Because in life, you just can\u2019t go it alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

They also thanked Taylor Hawkins as well as their previous drummers: \u201cIt should go without saying that without the boundless energy of William Goldsmith, the seasoned wisdom of Franz Stahl, and the thunderous wizardry of Josh Freese, this story would be incomplete, so we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the time, music, and memories that we shared with each of them over the years. Thank you, gentlemen.<\/p>\n
