Netflix Thursday released its first trailer for \u201cMarines,\u201d a four-episode documentary series on the U.S. Marine Corps.<\/p>\n

All four episodes are set to air on the service\u2019s 250th birthday on Nov. 10.<\/p>\n

The series, from the team behind World War II dramas \u201cBand of Brothers\u201d and \u201cSaving Private Ryan,\u201d follows the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit \u201cas they conduct high-stakes combat exercises in the Pacific,\u201d according to the Netflix synopsis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a grunt,\u201d comes the voice of one Marine in the trailer, \u201cSomeone that\u2019s going to do exactly what they\u2019re told.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we think too,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

The camera cuts to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have feelings, all right?\u201d<\/p>\n

He points to the camera. \u201cAll right?\u201d<\/p>\n

One of just seven expeditionary units, the 31st, based in Okinawa, Japan, is the only permanently forward-deployed Marine expeditionary unit. The series aims to provide an \u201cinside look into the rigorous trainings and emotional moments of young Marines as they forge bonds while grappling with the complexities of life at sea.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was directed by Chelsea Yarnell, who worked on \u201cCheer\u201d and \u201cAmerica\u2019s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders\u201d and produced by Amblin Documentaries and Lucky 8 TV. Executive producers are Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, the presidents of Amblin Entertainment Television and Documentaries, as well as Sebastian Junger, Kimberly Woodard, Greg Henry, Isaac Holub and George Kralovansky, with Katie Goldstein and Arielle Kilker serving as co\u2011executive producers.<\/p>\n
