Kevin Federline<\/strong><\/a><\/span> will never forget one phone call Britney Spears<\/span><\/a><\/strong> allegedly had with their son Sean Preston within the past two years.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring their conversation, she started her usual routine, blaming me, her father and the rest of her family for her problems,\u201d Federline, 47, wrote in his upcoming memoir<\/span><\/a>, You Thought You Knew<\/i>. \u201cPreston, to his credit, confronted her. He called out her lies and refused to accept her narrative. Her response was chilling: She told him she wished he, his brother and me were all dead.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Preston, 20, recounted the conversation, Federline said he was left feeling \u201cdevastated.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow could a mother say that to her son? Preston, having dealt with her vitriol for years, took it better than I did,\u201d Federline wrote. \u201cHe understood her anger and instability, but it didn\u2019t make it any less painful. Trauma like that left scars, ones I fear they\u2019ll carry for the rest of their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKevin Federline decided to write his debut memoir, You Thought You Knew, to tell his story on his terms. \u201cI\u2019ve sat back and watched people tell my story through a different lens for 20 years,\u201d Federline, 47, told Us Weekly exclusively ahead of the book\u2019s Tuesday, October 21, release date. \u201cI focused on my family, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before Federline\u2019s book is released on Tuesday, October 21, Spears\u2019 rep spoke out<\/span><\/a> about the project.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith news from Kevin\u2019s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,\u201d Spears\u2019 rep said in a statement to Us on Tuesday, October 14. \u201cAll she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears\u2019 rep added that the pop star \u201cdetailed her journey in her memoir,\u201d The Woman in Me<\/em>, which was published in 2023.<\/p>\n

Spears, 43, herself also spoke out online, telling her fans that \u201crelationships with teenage boys [are] complex.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears claimed she has only seen one of her sons for 45 minutes in the past five years. The other son allegedly had four visits with the singer in that time.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here,\u201d Spears continued. \u201cI will always love them and if you really know me, you won\u2019t pay attention to the tabloids of my mental health and drinking. I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n
