It Ends With Us<\/em><\/a>\u2019 star Jenny Slate<\/strong><\/a> and book author Colleen Hoover<\/strong> were reportedly deposed as part of Blake Lively<\/strong><\/a> and Justin Baldoni<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s ongoing legal drama.<\/p>\n

People<\/em><\/a> reported on Friday, October 17, that multiple members of the film production were called in for depositions. Included in that list were Hoover, 45, Slate, 43, and Isabela Ferrer<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, Hoover, who wrote the novel that the film was based on, recently sat down for a deposition. Slate, who played the sister of Baldoni\u2019s character, and Ferrer, who portrayed the younger version of Lively\u2019s character, were reportedly deposed over the summer.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Hoover, Slate and Ferrer for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSony Pictures Entertainment Blake Lively\u2019s lawsuit against It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni has grabbed the attention of several castmates. In December 2024, the actress accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. In the complaint obtained by Us Weekly, Lively alleged that Baldoni created a \u201chostile work [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lively and Baldoni\u2019s legal back and forth began in December 2024 when the actress accused her It Ends With Us<\/em> costar and director Baldoni of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and launching an alleged smear campaign against her. Baldoni vehemently denied the allegations and countersued Lively.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s lawsuit against Lively was later dismissed by a judge. Lively\u2019s lawsuit remains ongoing. It is scheduled for trial in March 2026.<\/p>\n

When Lively first came forward with her allegations against Baldoni, Slate publicly supported<\/a> her.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Blake Lively\u2019s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation,\u201d Slate shared in a statement to Today.com in December 2024. \u201cBlake is a leader, loyal friend and a trusted source of emotional support for me and so many who know and love her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hoover also publicly supported Lively after she filed the lawsuit against Baldoni.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlake Lively you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met,\u201d Hoover wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of the pair. \u201cThank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.\u201d<\/p>\n

In July, Lively was depose<\/a>d in New York City by Baldoni\u2019s legal team as preparation was underway for their days in court. Us<\/em> previously reported that Baldoni was present for the meeting.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJustin Baldoni believes Blake Lively had an influence on how his It Ends With Us costars treated him. According to Baldoni\u2019s new $400 million lawsuit obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, January 16, Lively allegedly \u201cinduced the other cast members to shun Baldoni, in an early attempt to give fans the impression that Baldoni had [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe are very pleased with the outcome of her deposition, and now look forward to deposing Justin Baldoni and each of the codefendants in short order,\u201d a spokesperson for Lively said in a statement to Us<\/em> in July. \u201cDeposition testimony is confidential for good reason \u2014 it\u2019s evidence in a legal proceeding and is subject to objections and evidentiary rules. Juries aren\u2019t just handed deposition transcripts to read at home, and instead they listen to testimony that is presented at trial under a judge\u2019s supervision.\u201d<\/p>\n
