Hot Bench<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>has garnered its first award for Outstanding Legal\/Courtroom Program at the 52nd Annual\u00a0Daytime Emmy<\/a>\u00a0Awards.<\/p>\n The courtroom series, produced by\u00a0<\/strong>Judith “Judge Judy” Sheindlin<\/strong><\/a>, has been nominated three times before this win.<\/p>\n It was up against Judge Judy’s Judy Justice<\/em>, Star Jones’ <\/strong>Divorce Court<\/em>, Justice for the People with Judge Milian <\/em>and We the People With Judge Lauren Lake<\/em>.<\/p>\n Hot Bench<\/em> is produced by CBS Media Ventures and premiered in September of 2014. In 2024 it was renewed<\/a> for two more years.<\/p>\n The court room drama underwent a cast change<\/a> in early 2025 when the longest-running member of the bench,\u00a0Judge Michael Corriero<\/strong>, stepped down. He was replaced by Judge Daniel Mentzer,<\/strong> who joined existing Judges Yodit Tewolde<\/strong> and Rachel Juarez<\/strong>,\u00a0for Season 12 this fall.<\/p>\n Hot Bench <\/em>kicked off Season 12 with strong syndicated ratings the week of Sep. 8-14. It was the sixth-ranked show in syndication and the top-ranking court room show.
