Macclesfield is preparing for a half term packed full of Halloween celebrations.<\/strong><\/p>\n The spooky season is fast approaching, with everything from family-friendly fun and cartoons to live music and glow-in-the-dark rock climbing lying in store.<\/p>\n The main event will see Market Place transformed with pumpkin trails, craft workshops and live entertainment for Spooky Saturday\u00a0on\u00a0October 25.<\/p>\n More than 30 local businesses are taking part, wit the event aiming to bring families together whilst supporting the town’s independent shops and caf\u00e9s.<\/p>\n Town Mayor Emma Gilman said: “I am so excited by the fantastic\u00a0mix of elements we have lined up for Spooky Saturday.”<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/strong>Macclesfield Town Council confirms return of Spooky Saturday<\/strong><\/a>\ufeff<\/strong><\/p>\n Dozens of local businesses are taking part in this year’s Pumpkin Trail (Credit: MTC)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Also taking place on the first Saturday of half term is Sylk Dance Academy’s<\/a> Kids Halloween Party.<\/p>\n Dress up and head over to the studio on Brook Street from 5pm to 6.30pm for games, apple bobbing and a disco.<\/p>\n The following day, Room for Comics will play host to SPOOKyTOONs!<\/a><\/p>\n Creative families can join Marc Jackson for two workshops where they will learn how to create their own cartoon Halloween characters.<\/p>\n Also getting creative is the new Pause Creative Studios at Dukes Court, who will be hosting a free Spooky Self-Portraits<\/a> session on October 31.<\/p>\n Those after something more active can head to\u00a0Substation\u00a0for its\u00a0Halloween UV Party<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Friday, October 31.<\/p>\n The climbing centre will become a glow-in-the-dark arena with themed routes, Halloween challenges, a live DJ, and prizes for the best costumes.<\/p>\n Substation is hosting a Halloween UV Party (Credit: Substation)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Speaking of Halloween night, many pubs and bars in Macclesfield will be joining in the celebrations this year.<\/p>\n The Park Tavern\u00a0hosts a Halloween party with live music from\u00a08.30pm while\u00a0The Cat & Fiddle offers a\u00a0Halloween Cocktail Night<\/a> with themed drinks and snacks.<\/p>\n There’s also Creepy Karaoke at the Bate Hall<\/a> and the Spooky Goose Halloween Party<\/a> at the Snowgoose on Sunderland Street.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the\u00a0Old Millstone’s Glow in the Dark Halloween Carnival Weekender\u00a0gets underway, running until November 2.<\/p>\n As if that wasn’t enough, Macc Sabbath will be bringing the Halloween season to a close with live rock music at Cinemac.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/nub.news\/api\/image\/702116\/category.jpeg\")
