LIVE FROM NEW YORK \u2014 For the third consecutive week, \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d is gearing up for a new episode.<\/p>\n
Popular singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter will take on double duty as both host and musical guest.<\/p>\n
Carpenter, fresh off the release of her chart-topping album \u201cMan\u2019s Best Friend,\u201d will be making her hosting debut. She previously performed on the show in 2024<\/a> and alongside Paul Simon at the SNL50 anniversary special<\/a> in February 2025.<\/p>\n The show kicked off its 51st season on Oct. 4 with musician Bad Bunny as host and musical guest Doja Cat performing.<\/p>\n On Oct. 11, former SNL cast member Amy Poehler hosted alongside musical guest Role Model. Poehler anchored \u201cWeekend Update\u201d<\/a> during her tenure and has hosted twice before \u2014 once in 2010<\/a> and again in 2015 alongside Tina Fey, who made a surprise appearance during Saturday\u2019s cold open<\/a>. Musician Charli XCX also made an appearance during Role Model\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n \u201cSNL\u201d fans will be excited to know that former Staten Islander Colin Jost, the longest-serving \u201cWeekend Update\u201d anchor in the show\u2019s history, is still behind the desk.
