The moment Boston Blue<\/em> was greenlit, fans hoped Blue Bloods<\/em><\/a> stars would be crossing over and reuniting with Donnie Wahlberg<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Danny Reagan \u2014 but he played coy about how the other Reagans would be featured.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, it\u2019s just Danny going to this new world, but I can\u2019t say a lot about it \u2014 but I could say, if he\u2019s a Reagan, it will never be just Danny,\u201d Wahlberg told Fox News Digital<\/em><\/a> in June. \u201cThere\u2019ll always be a Reagan a phone call away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blue Bloods<\/em> ran for 14 seasons on CBS, ending in December 2024. The series followed NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck<\/strong><\/a>), and his children, Detective Danny (Wahlberg), ADA Erin (Bridget Moynahan<\/strong><\/a>) and officer Jamie (Will Estes<\/strong><\/a>), as they navigated family and their jobs in New York City. The series also starred Len Cariou<\/strong> as Frank\u2019s father, former commissioner Henry Reagan, and Franks\u2019 three grandchildren.<\/p>\n

Boston Blue<\/em>, which premiered on Friday, October 17, is focused on Danny as he leaves New York for Boston after his youngest son, Sean (Mika Amonsen<\/strong><\/a>), gets injured in a fire. Sean is living in Boston as a police officer after a hiring freeze in New York left him unable to follow in the Reagan family footsteps in the Big Apple.<\/p>\n

While Danny is away from the majority of his family<\/a>, they aren\u2019t far from his mind \u2014 or unable to make a cameo on the spinoff.<\/p>\n

Ramirez reprised her role as Maria Baez during the season premiere on October 17, but it wasn\u2019t just as Danny\u2019s longtime NYPD partner. After Danny asked Baez out for pizza \u2014 to take the next step in their romantic relationship \u2014 during the Blue Bloods<\/em> finale<\/a>, fans finally learned their fate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought we said when we stay at my place, we turn our ringers off,\u201d Danny told Baez during the premiere as he entered his bedroom shirtless and Baez sat on his bed wearing an oversized shirt with her bra peeking out.<\/p>\n

She quipped, \u201cIt\u2019s your phone, smart ass,\u201d before handing her boyfriend his cell. The sexy moment confirmed that Baez and Danny are an item<\/a>. However, the call informed Danny that Sean was in the hospital in Boston so he left immediately to be by his side.<\/p>\n

After learning that Sean was hurt in a fire and hadn\u2019t woken up at the hospital yet, Moynahan\u2019s Erin Reagan arrived in Boston<\/a> to be by her brother\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pretty sure I said nobody needed to come,\u201d Danny told Erin during the October 17 premiere as she put flowers by Sean\u2019s hospital bed. \u201cSince when have I ever listened to you?\u201d Erin replied.<\/p>\n
