The rock world is mourning the loss of legendary Kiss<\/strong> guitarist and co-founder Paul Daniel \u201cAce\u201d Frehley<\/strong>, who has died <\/strong>at the age of 74. Frehley, known as the band\u2019s \u201cSpace Ace,\u201d passed away following injuries from a fall last month, his family confirmed.<\/p>\n Ace Frehley\u2019s family shared, \u201cWe are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth\u2026 Ace\u2019s memory will continue to live on forever.\u201d<\/p>\n His former Kiss bandmates, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, also expressed their grief, calling Frehley an \u201cirreplaceable rock soldier.\u201d Their joint statement read, \u201cWe are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley,\u201d the statement reads in part. \u201cHe is and will always be a part of Kiss\u2019 legacy. With his blazing guitar solos, \u201cSpace Ace\u201d persona, and explosive stage charisma, he became a cornerstone of the band\u2019s success.<\/p>\n Frehley left the group in 1982 to pursue a solo career but rejoined in 1996 for a massive reunion tour before departing again in 2002.
