Action star Keanu Reeves<\/strong><\/a> surprisingly did not suffer his worst injury while filming John Wick<\/a> or The Matrix<\/a>. Instead, it happened on the set of a comedy.<\/p>\n Reeves recently appeared on The New Heights podcast to promote his new comedy, Good Fortune<\/a>. During the interview, Jason Kelce asked Reeves if the injury he suffered on Good Fortune was worse than anything that happened in an action movie.<\/p>\n \u201cYup,\u201d Reeves said with a smile.<\/p>\n Ironically, Reeves injured his knee while walking to the dressing room.<\/p>\n \u201cI was shooting a scene, and then I was going back to the dressing room, which was at a residence. They had a carpet laid down to protect the owner\u2019s carpet,\u201d Reeves explained. \u201cThen there was a little section, and I caught my foot, and I started to fall. I spiked my left knee like bang! It spiked it. My left patella went like this [splits hands].\u201d<\/p>\n Reeves said he had a vertical break in his kneecap, but he did not need surgery to repair the break. Instead, Reeves was immobilized and wore a brace for 10 weeks during filming.<\/p>\n \u201cThe pain was banana cakes,\u201d Reeves added.<\/p>\n In Good Fortune, Reeves plays Gabriel, a \u201cbudget guardian angel\u201d who typically saves people from texting and driving. One day, Gabriel meets Arj (Aziz Ansari<\/a>), a struggling man who works for a wealthy tech titan named Jeff (Seth Rogen<\/a>). To show that money cannot solve every problem, Gabriel swaps the lives of Arj and Jeff. When Arj thrives in his new lifestyle, Gabriel\u2019s wings are clipped, and he\u2019s forced to live with Jeff.<\/p>\n Good Fortune also stars Keke Palmer and Sandra Oh.<\/p>\n Ansari writes, produces, and directs Good Fortune.
