Rating:<\/b><\/p>\n <\/a> Rating: False<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n In mid-xOctober 2025, a rumor<\/a> resurfaced<\/a> online<\/a> (archived<\/a>, archived<\/a>, archived<\/a>) that singer Taylor Swift and her fiance, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, posted a pregnancy announcement on social media featuring them holding up ultrasound images.<\/span><\/p>\n The image allegedly showing Swift and Kelce holding the ultrasound images traces back to at least March 2025, when one post<\/a> (archived<\/a>) received more than 22,000 reactions on Facebook, but the rumor recirculated after their engagement<\/a>. For example, Facebook account USA Pulse Today posted the claim<\/a> on Sept. 2, 2025. The post read:<\/p>\n JUST IN: “Baby NO.1 on the way”. Pop sensation Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple, who have been making headlines with their high-profile relationship, celebrated the joyous occasion with a party in Florida. Social media has been flooded with congratulatory messages, as Swifties and NFL fans alike express their happiness for the couple<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n (Facebook user @USA Pulse Today)<\/strong><\/p>\n Variations of the rumor spread in September 2025 on other<\/a> Facebook<\/a> pages, as well. One user posted the claim<\/a> (archived<\/a>) on Oct. 14, then posted an image<\/a> of a pregnant cat in the comments, clarifying that they meant their cat named Taylor Swift was pregnant.<\/p>\n \n Some readers seemed to interpret the rumor as a factual recounting of real-life events. However, there was no evidence of Swift and Kelce announcing a pregnancy. Numerous versions of the rumor have spread in the past, which we’ve previously debunked<\/a>.<\/p>\n Some early posts of the ultrasound images, in particular from March 2025, featured a watermark in the lower right corner indicating that the image originated from Grok’s AI image generation service; later iterations of the claim cropped out the watermark.<\/p>\n (Facebook user Daily Bible Verse)<\/strong><\/p>\n A DuckDuckGo search<\/a> of the keywords “Taylor Swift Travis Kelce pregnancy announcement” only yielded results related to the baseless claim in question; it did not show any results from reputable news outlets.<\/p>\n (DuckDuckGo)<\/strong><\/p>\n Rather, the rumor about Swift and Kelce’s alleged pregnancy announcement originated with the Facebook account USA Pulse Today \u2014 a social media account that displays numerous posts that appear to be AI-generated. The post in question linked to a story<\/a> on an advertisement-filled website that began:<\/p>\n JUST IN: “Baby No. 1 on the Way” \u2013 Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Announce Pregnancy, Celebrate in Florida<\/strong><\/p>\n In a heartwarming revelation that has sent shockwaves through both the music and sports worlds, pop icon Taylor Swift and NFL superstar Travis Kelce have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple, who have dominated headlines for months with their high-profile romance, shared the exciting news during a private celebration in Florida, surrounded by close friends and family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n Earlier versions of the claim linked to a story<\/a> on a website that featured a disclaimer<\/a> that it did not “warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.”<\/span><\/p>\n The fictional story started spreading less than a month after Swift and Kelce announced their engagement. As of this writing, neither Swift’s<\/a> nor Kelce’s<\/a> Instagram accounts displayed the image used in the post in question, and AI-detection software Hive determined the image was 100% AI-generated. Furthermore, the image appears significantly blurred and Swift’s hand appears abnormally large \u2014 indicators of an image generated with AI software<\/a>.<\/p>\n (Hive.com)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Facebook page that originated the rumor has a history of making up stories for shares and comments, sometimes relying on artificial-intelligence writing software to do its storytelling.
