Formed in Jacksonville, Fla., Limp Bizkit and lead singer Fred Durst rose to prominence in the late \u201990s and early 2000s with its mix of rock and hip-hop.<\/p>\n
Rivers also sang backup vocals for the band, which topped radio charts with songs including \u201cBreak Stuff,\u201d \u201cNookie,\u201d \u201cRe-Arranged\u201d and \u201cMy Way.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the first note we ever played together, Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced. His talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous,\u201d the band wrote in the post. \u201cWe shared so many moments \u2014 wild ones, quiet ones, beautiful ones \u2014 and every one of them meant more because Sam was there.\u201d<\/p>\n
The tribute was signed by Durst, along with band members Wes Borland, John Otto and DJ Lethal.<\/p>\n

In a comment on the post, Leor Dimant \u2014 also known as DJ Lethal \u2014 asked people to \u201cplease respect the family\u2019s privacy at this moment.\u201d He added that fans can \u201cgive Sam his flowers\u201d by playing his bass lines all day.<\/p>\n
\u201cRest in power my brother,\u201d Dimant wrote. \u201cYou will live on through your music and the lives you helped save with your music, charity work and friendships.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
