Netflix and Spotify are teaming up in a first-of-its-kind partnership to bring a collection of video podcasts to the streaming platform\u2019s lineup, the companies announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Beginning in early 2026, audiences in the U.S. will be able to watch full video versions of 16 shows produced by Spotify Studios and The Ringer, including \u201cThe Bill Simmons Podcast,\u201d \u201cThe Rewatchables,\u201d \u201cDissect,\u201d and true-crime series like \u201cConspiracy Theories\u201d and \u201cSerial Killers.\u201d Other countries will follow later in the year, according to statements released by both companies.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt Netflix, we\u2019re always looking for new ways to entertain our members, wherever and however they want to watch,\u201d said Lauren Smith, Netflix\u2019s vice president of content licensing and programming strategy, in the announcement<\/a>. \u201cAs video podcasts continue to grow in popularity, our partnership with Spotify allows us to bring full video versions of these top shows to both Netflix and Spotify audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n Roman Wasenm\u00fcller, Spotify\u2019s vice president<\/a> and head of podcasts, called the collaboration \u201ca new chapter for podcasting,\u201d saying it will help creators reach new audiences while offering fans \u201cmore ways to connect with the stories and voices they love.\u201d<\/p>\n The deal will feature shows from across several genres \u2014 sports, pop culture, lifestyle, and true crime \u2014 expanding both companies\u2019 reach in the growing video podcast market. Sports titles from The Ringer, such as \u201cThe Ringer NBA Show,\u201d \u201cThe Ringer NFL Show,\u201d \u201cFairway Rollin\u2019,\u201d and \u201cThe Mismatch,\u201d are among those set to appear on Netflix.<\/p>\n According to both companies\u2019 press releases, the partnership reflects a shared strategy to make podcasting more visual and globally accessible. Spotify described the agreement as part of a wider effort to \u201cexpand discovery\u201d and \u201cunlock new distribution opportunities\u201d for creators, while Netflix said it views the collaboration as a way to add \u201cfresh voices and new perspectives\u201d to its entertainment catalog.<\/p>\n
