Still, Beatrice and Eugenie are \u201cutterly mortified\u201d by their parents\u2019 behavior.<\/p>\n \u201cEugenie has a harder edge to her, but they really are a credit to the Royal family. They haven\u2019t done anything to deserve what has happened. It\u2019s all of their parents\u2019 making,\u201d the royal insider shared.<\/p>\n Beatrice is reportedly more affected by the fallout because she was the one who originally told Andrew not to do the 2019 Newsnight<\/em> interview that was the catalyst for his downfall. She was devastated by the entire episode,\u201d the source added. \u201cShe knew it would end badly.\u201d<\/p>\n In April 2024, Newsnight<\/em> producer Sam McAlister told SheKnows that Prince Andrew was downright smug <\/a>when it came to the infamous interview \u2014 he felt untouchable in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. She described him as \u201cvery overconfident\u201d about his \u201cown capabilities,\u201d and believed Andrew thought he could talk his way out of the Epstein controversy because he knew how to \u201cwork a room.\u201d<\/p>\n The crisis has also shut the door on Beatrice\u2019s desire to be a working royal<\/a> \u2014 the palace can\u2019t afford another controversy at this point.<\/p>\n \u201cBeatrice does want to be a working Royal, and she wants to do Royal events to help her uncle because she\u2019d enjoy them and she would be good at the job,\u201d a royal insider shared with the Daily Mail<\/a><\/em> earlier this month. \u201cCharles apparently appreciates this . . .
