Kristen Bell recently heated up the red carpet in a sexy, lacy red dress \u2014 despite her preteen daughters\u2019 protests. The mom of two revealed her daughters did not approve of her \u201ctoo sexy\u201d gown at the Season 2 premiere of \u201cNobody Wants This,\u201d and we\u2019re glad she didn\u2019t listen!<\/p>\n
\u201cMy kids told me it was too sexy to wear out of the house,\u201d The Good Place actress revealed in an interview with Access Hollywood<\/a>, referring to daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10, who she shares with husband Dax Shepard.<\/p>\n More from SheKnows<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThey said, \u2018You can\u2019t wear that,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cI said \u2018Watch me!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The jaw-dropping silky gown featured an asymmetrical hemline with a plunging neckline, sheer lace cutouts, and a low back. She paired it with black heels and wore her hair in loose waves around her shoulders. She looked absolutely gorgeous!<\/p>\n Bell and Shepard have encouraged honesty and open communication in their house. In an interview with E! News<\/a> last year, the Gossip Girl alum opened up about how difficult that can make things.<\/p>\n \u201cIt requires a lot of brain power,\u201d Bell said, \u201cbecause you have to filter what\u2019s appropriate for their age group, what isn\u2019t going to scare them too much, but just maybe enough. You have to make all these quick calls, all these blank decisions, and it\u2019s hard.\u201d<\/p>\n But they do their best to stick to facts. \u201cOne kid asked us and Dax started explaining the sperm meets the ovum,\u201d Bell recalled. \u201cAnd truly, within 30 seconds, she had walked outside because she was so bored. So it\u2019s worked in our favor, and we\u2019re going to keep it up as long as we can.\u201d<\/p>\n The communication style has worn off on her girls who had no problem telling their mom what to wear.
