NBC<\/a>\u2019s censors must have had an off night on Saturday, as Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> sang the F-word twice<\/em> as she pulled double duty as host and musical guest of this week\u2019s Saturday Night Live<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Carpenter performed the songs \u201cManchild\u201d and \u201cNobody\u2019s Son,\u201d both from her latest studio album, Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/em>, on the Studio 8H stage in that October 18 SNL<\/em> episode. And it was during the\u00a0bridge of the latter song that she twice sang the lyric \u201cHe sure f***ed me up.\u201d<\/p>\n And as Variety<\/a><\/em> reports, the profanity wasn\u2019t bleeped or muted in Saturday Night Live\u2019s<\/em> East Coast broadcast on NBC or its simulcast on Peacock<\/a>. West Coast viewers, however, reported that the F-words were muted in the broadcast in their time zone. (See a censored version of the performance below.)<\/p>\n Carpenter also dropped an F-bomb at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a> last month, but that time, censors caught the broadcast-unfriendly word in time. \u201cThis world, as we all know, can be so full of criticism and discrimination and negativity,\u201d she said in her acceptance speech after her previous album, Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em>, won the Best Album category<\/a>. \u201cSo to get to be a part of something so often, more than not, that is something that can bring you light, make you smile, make you dance and make you feel like the world is your f***ing oyster, I am so grateful, so grateful to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/a> ‘Saturday Night Live’ Sets Next Three Hosts<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Related<\/p>\n Saturday Night Live<\/em> accidentally aired profanity this April as well<\/a>, as Ego Nwodim<\/a>\u2019s Ms. Eggy character solicited audience participation during a \u201cWeekend Update\u201d bit.<\/p>\n As she bemoaned the dating scene, Nwodim\u2019s Ms. Eggy said, \u201cThese men ain\u2019t what?\u201d and held the microphone to the audience.<\/p>\n In response, an audience member shouted out \u201cs***,\u201d and that profane outburst that made it uncensored to SNL<\/em>\u2019s Peacock simulcast.<\/p>\n \u201cWe finna get fined for that,\u201d Ms. Eggy replied, as Nwodim barely contained her astonishment and Colin Jost<\/a> and Michael Che<\/a> cracked up behind her. \u201c\u2018Worth a damn,\u2019 sucka.
