The Golden Bachelor<\/a><\/em> contestant Terri Alani sent a direct message to Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> after The View<\/a><\/em> host criticized her puppet limo entrance on the ABC dating competition.<\/p>\n

In Season 2 of the ABC series, Alani, 71, vied for the affections of Mel Owens<\/a>, 66. The cosmetic dentist from Houston was eliminated in Week 3 after making a memorable entrance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is Carly, my favorite dental assistant,\u201d Alani said as she made a red-headed puppet wearing a blue dress say, \u201cHi, Mel! I bet you weren\u2019t expecting all of these women over 60 to look so hot, right?\u201d To that, Owens said, \u201cCorrect.\u201d As Carly, Alani added, \u201cAnd I bet you weren\u2019t expecting this either, buddy,\u201d as she made the puppet smack Owens in the face.<\/p>\n

After the Golden Bachelor<\/em> Season 2 premiere aired, Goldberg, 69, pointed out on the September 25 episode of The View<\/em>, \u201cI saw her lips moving. With ventriloquists, the ventriloquist\u2019s lips should not be moving.\u201d<\/p>\n

Co-hosts Sara Haines<\/a>, 48, also referred to Alani as \u201cthe muppet woman,\u201d while Sunny Hostin<\/a>, 56, admitted she \u201cthought it was creepy.\u201d<\/p>\n

During an interview with Us Weekly<\/a> published on Sunday, October 19, Alani shared her reaction to Goldberg\u2019s criticism.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m navigating through social media and all of a sudden, I see this segment and it\u2019s Whoopi Goldberg\u00a0on\u00a0The View<\/i> calling me out on national TV about my puppet not only being creepy, but she called me the muppet woman,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cI mean, \u2018the muppet woman\u2019? That\u2019s a whole new profession for me, because I\u2019m a dentist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alani then sent a direct message to Goldberg, telling Us Weekly: \u201cHonestly, I was more upset about my lips moving, which she called me out on as well, but I didn\u2019t feel so bad because she couldn\u2019t even say the word ventriloquist. So Whoopi, take that!\u201d<\/p>\n
