With the premiere of Boston Blue<\/a><\/strong> airing on Oct. 17, questions about whether or not Tom Selleck \u2014 who played Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods from 2010 through 2024 \u2014 would guest star on the show have started circulating again.<\/p>\n Selleck is not part of the spinoff, but there have been rumors that he could make a cameo appearance at some point. I never have. Over the years, I\u2019ve certainly admired his work. I admire his work and he\u2019s still ready to do whatever.”<\/p>\n And Hudson isn’t the only star that would like to see Selleck on the new series. In an interview with Parade<\/a>, actor Donnie Wahlberg was asked if Selleck could pop in \u2014 even by way of a FaceTime call.<\/p>\n “New York and Boston are really close,” Wahlberg told us in June. “They\u2019re not that far apart. I like the way you asked the question. You covered a lot of possible ways for people to drop in on us. Yeah, ‘Blue Bloods’ is important to the audience, it\u2019s important to me, it\u2019s important to Sonequa [Martin-Green, Danny\u2019s new partner]. She\u2019s a ‘Blue Bloods’ fan. She\u2019s my partner, and she\u2019s a ‘Blue Bloods’ fan.
