However, at the third show of the tour Saturday in Chicago, video emerged of Brandy suddenly leaving the stage mid-song during \u201cBaby\u201d; she never returned to the concert, forcing Monica to handle the remainder of the show herself, and depriving the crowd from the finale duet of their 1998 hit \u201cThe Boy Is Mine.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n Amid speculation about why Brandy abruptly left the concert \u2014 Monica immediately dismissed any possible bad blood by shouting out Brandy when the show continued \u2014 the singer explained in a statement Sunday morning that she was forced to exit due to health issues.<\/p>\n \u201cI sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night\u2019s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint, everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance,\u201d Brandy wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cI still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling OK.
