For the first time in British royal family history, Princess Charlotte, 10, has taken on a role that no woman before her has \u2014 and it\u2019s breaking a toxic royal family cycle, according to insiders.<\/p>\n
The concept of royal families having an \u201cheir and a spare\u201d is not new, but it\u2019s still one that deeply hurts. Just look at Prince Harry\u2019s memoir, which he titled Spare <\/em>after being called that his whole life. I can\u2019t imagine what it would feel like to not have a purpose other than being a backup in case your older sibling couldn\u2019t take on the family\u2019s responsibilities one day.
