I have such fond memories of making rangolis. For me, spending Diwali with my family is important. Along with it, we also celebrated Kali Puja, so we used to stay up till midnight and offer anjali to Mother Kali. In the evening, we performed Laxmi Puja at home. Along with friends, we used to experiment with different ways of bursting them \u2014 it was so much fun! Those memories have stayed with me; I\u2019ve never had that kind of fun after growing up. The way we used to burst crackers back then is something that\u2019s missing now. The enthusiasm was different \u2014 we\u2019d compete to see who had the most crackers and compare our collections. My dad would bring home new clothes for everyone and we\u2019d exchange them as gifts \u2014 I\u2019d give mine to my sister, she\u2019d give hers to me, mom and dad would exchange theirs, and grandparents would bless us with envelopes of good luck after Laxmi Puja. The money was small, but the emotions were huge!
