KMJ Entertainment has promoted Regular Music\u2019s Mark Mackie to KMJ director of special projects, while John Stout has been promoted to CEO for Regular Music.<\/p>\n

KMJ Entertainment announced today that Mark Mackie has been appointed director of special projects, promoted from his CEO position at Regular Music to a new role supporting the wider KMJ group, including Kilimanjaro Live, Regular Music, Singular Artists and the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.<\/p>\n

Mackie will also continue to promote many artists with whom he has built close relationships over the years.<\/p>\n

John Stout, who has been a promoter with Regular Music for over 15 years, is promoted to the role of CEO at Regular Music.<\/p>\n

Emerging from the late 70\u2019s punk and new wave scene, Regular Music is Scotland\u2019s longest-established and most respected concert promoter, presenting over 300 concerts throughout Scotland each year.<\/p>\n

The most prominent events in Regular Music\u2019s portolio: a week-long program of concerts for 8,500 visitors at Edinburgh Castle each July; the award-winning \u201cSummer Nights at the Bandstand\u201d concert series at the 2,500 capacity Kelvingrove Bandstand; its sister festival, the 6,000 capacity \u201cSummer Nights on the Southside\u201d in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

Primarily a live music promoter, Regular also promotes comedy, spoken word and theatre shows. Part of the KMJ Entertainment group, Regular Music stages concerts for a broad range of international artists including Patti Smith, Bon Iver, Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, and is also the promoter for some of Scotland\u2019s best talent including The Proclaimers, Primal Scream, Del Amitri, Marti Pellow, Garbage and Mogwai. Forthcoming Regular Music shows include Stereophonics, Bob Dylan, Ludovico Einaudi, The Mary Wallopers, Ocean Colour Scene, and Echo and the Bunnymen.<\/p>\n
