The book almost immediately topped the bestseller list, due in part to the author\u2019s no holds barred peek into Jennette\u2019s life with Debra.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIt\u2019s something I mean sincerely,\u201d Jennette told <em>BuzzFeed News<\/em> in August 2022 about the title of the book. \u201cI\u2019m genuinely glad. If she were alive, I\u2019d still be trapped. Every important decision in my life wouldn\u2019t have been possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Apple TV+ ordered a first season of a TV adaptation of the book in July 2025. The 10-episode season will be written, executive produced and showrun by Jennette and <strong>Ari Katcher<\/strong>.
