Brandy<\/strong> is speaking out for the first time since she abruptly ended her and Monica<\/strong>‘s concert in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 18.<\/p>\n Videos<\/a> posted to social media show the two singers performing a duet when Brandy suddenly walked off-stage, leaving Monica to finish the final songs by herself. To fans dismay, several songs from the setlist were not performed, including the duo’s hit duet, “The Boy Is Mine.”<\/p>\n In a statement posted to Instagram<\/a>, Brandy apologized to the disappointed concertgoers and explained why she ended the show so suddenly. Comments on the post were turned off.<\/p>\n \u201cTo my dear fans in Chicago, thank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and \u2014 most importantly \u2014 your prayers,\u201d Brandy said. \u201cI sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night\u2019s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint. Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling OK with having to make some adjustments and the show being very technical,\u201d she continued. \u201cUnfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production, I really appreciate everyone\u2019s best efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m deeply grateful to my sister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support,” she concluded. “I went from the arena to see a doctor nearby and have taken the proper precautions to help moving forward.
