Brandy is opening up about her health issues after she walked off stage mid-concert over the weekend.<\/p>\n
The \u201cI Wanna Be Down\u201d singer abruptly cut her set short at a co-headlining show with Monica at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday, Oct. 18. An Instagram video<\/a> showed Brandy walking off stage while performing her hit song, \u201cBaby.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cSad we didn\u2019t get to hear The Boy Is Mine but I hope Brandy is okay!,\u201d the video\u2019s caption read. <\/p>\n On Sunday, Brandy explained what led to her sudden exit on social media.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and \u2014 most importantly \u2014 your prayers,\u201d Brandy wrote on Facebook<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cI sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night\u2019s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint. Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance,\u201d she continued. \u201cI still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling okay. With having to make some adjustments and the show being very technical, unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production. I really appreciate everyone\u2019s best efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n Brandy, 46, said she also went to a doctor near the arena, telling fans she has \u201ctaken the proper precautions to help moving forward.\u201d <\/p>\n However, she did not elaborate on what medical precautions she would be taking or give a potential cause for the health issues. Brandy also thanked her \u201csister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support.\u201d <\/p>\n Brandy and Monica<\/a> are currently on the duo\u2019s first-ever co-headlining tour called \u201cThe Boy Is Mine\u201d tour<\/a>. The tour is named after their iconic 1998 hit<\/a> that spent a record-breaking 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. <\/p>\n Brandy and Monica have collaborated several times since then, including on 2012\u2019s \u201cIt All Belongs to Me\u201d and last year for Ariana Grande\u2019s \u201cThe Boy Is Mine (Remix),\u201d which earned them a Grammy nomination for best pop duo\/group performance.
