Big Brother 27<\/em><\/a> runner-up Vince Panaro<\/strong> announced he and girlfriend Kelsey<\/strong> are taking time apart following speculation that he emotionally cheated<\/a> on the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as probably the more common question that everybody is asking me, is \u2018What is my relationship like?’\u201d Vince, 34, said in a YouTube video<\/a> uploaded Monday, October 20, while addressing his experience<\/a> on the reality competition series. \u201cKelsey and I have talked everything out. We have talked about everything and anything possible, and we\u2019re currently taking time to process everything individually, and you know, figure out what things look like after that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vince thanked Kelsey for being there for him when he left the Big Brother<\/em> house last month despite the rumors that swirled about him throughout the season. \u201cShe was there to \u2014 first, above everything else \u2014 make sure that I was OK mentally coming out of there, knowing the backlash that I was gonna be receiving,\u201d he said. \u201cBut at the same time, she has enough respect for herself to take her own independent time to figure out what she wants and to process her own experience \u2026 and I respect that too.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to address some of his more controversial behavior, saying, \u201cThe fact of the matter is that I was in a relationship entering that house \u2026 so that\u2019s all on me. And I understand the way that it looked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the impacts on his personal life, Vince said going on Big Brother<\/em> was \u201can incredible experience\u201d and that he\u2019s \u201can even bigger fan now\u201d than he was before competing. \u201cBut you\u2019re in a pressure cooker environment where it\u2019s designed to see if you crack,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd I cracked a few times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vince and Kelsey were together for seven years before he started his Big Brother<\/em> journey<\/a> in July. He sparked a close connection with fellow houseguest Morgan Pope<\/strong>, which raised eyebrows among viewers at home. The allies were often caught getting cozy on camera, and Vince admitted in his YouTube video that \u201clines started to blur.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like any level of affection was normal in that alternate reality I was living in,\u201d he explained on Monday. \u201cAnd some people will say, \u2018How could you be that stupid? How could you not see it?\u2019 And I could only say, \u2018Well, you\u2019d be surprised.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Vince acknowledged that \u201cin hindsight,\u201d he realized how his behavior was \u201cdisrespectful\u201d to Kelsey. \u201cI\u2019m sorry for that. And to be honest, that\u2019s on me,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019m the one who set the boundaries. I was the one who was in a relationship. \u2026 But outside, I could see that\u2019s not being respectful to having a girlfriend, and I should\u2019ve been extra cautious. But the fact of the matter is I wasn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star further insisted that he \u201cnever\u201d wanted to \u201cembarrass anyone\u201d from his life outside of Big Brother \u2014 especially Kelsey. \u201cShe didn\u2019t sign up for the show,\u201d he said, \u201cI did.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt\u2019s tough to win Big Brother without some sort of alliance \u2014 but it\u2019s even more difficult if you\u2019re one half of a showmance. However, that doesn\u2019t stop competitors, time and time again, from pairing up while in the house. \u201cThe secret no one knows about Big Brother \u2014 I think it\u2019s really a marriage [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While speaking with Us Weekly<\/em> after the season 27 finale in September, Vince opened up about his bond<\/a> with \u201cvery good friend\u201d Morgan, who finished in third place. (Ashley Hollis<\/strong> was crowned the winner<\/a> and took home $750,000.)<\/p>\n

\u201c[Morgan] was a very good friend to me,\u201d Vince told Us<\/em>. \u201cIn the game, you\u2019re in an environment where you can\u2019t trust anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n
