Kristen Bell<\/strong><\/a> found herself at the center of backlash from fans after her recent social media post celebrating her 12th wedding anniversary with Dax Shephard<\/strong><\/a> went viral for its bizarre caption.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: \u2018I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I\u2019m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would,\u2019\u201d Bell, 45, wrote alongside a photo<\/a> of herself and Shephard, 50, with their arms wrapped around one another.<\/p>\n

Social media users quickly flooded the comments, and many were divided on how they felt about the Nobody Wants This<\/em><\/a> star\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n

\u201cKristen there\u2019s no way you posted this during domestic violence awareness month,\u201d wrote one person, while another added, \u201cThat\u2019s \u2026 a very weird thing to say.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThats a wildly sad and insensitive thing to say considering it\u2019s domestic violence awareness month and thousands of women have died a the hands of the man they trusted\u2026\u201d a third person chimed in.<\/p>\n

However, others thought Shephard\u2019s words were funny and fitting for the longtime couple\u2019s sense of humor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is LOVE,\u201d Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em> alum Terry Crews<\/strong> wrote and added a heart and laughing emoji at the end.<\/p>\n

The official account for NBC\u2019s Dateline<\/em> also left a comment, writing, \u201cScreenshotted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Bell or Shephard have publicly addressed the Instagram post.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
