Britney Spears<\/strong> is getting candid about her past trauma.<\/p>\n The 43-year-old pop star \u2014 who was in a conservatorship from 2008 until 2021 \u2014 took to Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, October 19, to share a photo of herself on a horse accompanied by a lengthy caption where she claimed she suffered brain damage in the past.<\/p>\n \u201cI had a traumatic experience as some of you know at the end of my book where for 4 months I no longer had my private door and illegally was forced to not use my feet or body to go anywhere,\u201d Spears wrote referring to her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me<\/em>. \u201cFor a person like me who understands the sacredness is god speed\u2026 it did more than hurt my body\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI do feel the logic and mindfulness in my body as ONE was 100 percent murdered and destroyed I couldn\u2019t dance or move for 5 months,\u201d Spears wrote in part. \u201cAnyways I know my post and dancing seemed silly but it made me remember how to fly\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI do feel like my wings were taken away and brain damage happened to me a long time ago 100 percent,\u201d she added. \u201cI have of course moved on from that troubling time in my life and I\u2019m blessed to be alive\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n The Grammy winner noted she wanted to share this since there is so much being said about her, seemingly referring to the upcoming release of her ex-husband Kevin Federline<\/strong>\u2019s new memoir You Thought You Knew<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cIts fun to tell stories at this point because this all might sound so silly but with what garbage literally is being said about me I said why not bring SUBSTANCE to the table,\u201d she penned in the post.<\/p>\n Federline \u2014 who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007 \u2014 has waged a number of accusations<\/a> against the \u201cWomanizer\u201d hitmaker in his memoir, including that she was \u201chigh\u201d in \u201cmany\u201d of her dance videos according to an excerpt of the book obtained by Us Weekly<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n As Star<\/em> previously reported,<\/a> the former backup dancer also alleged that his and Spears\u2019 sons \u2014 Sean Preston<\/strong>, 20, and Jayden James<\/strong>, 19 \u2014 didn\u2019t want to sleep at the singer-songwriter\u2019s house when they were younger out of fear.<\/p>\n \u201cThey would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep \u2014 \u2018Oh, you\u2019re awake?\u2019 \u2014 with a knife in her hand,\u201d Federline, 47, wrote in his book according to an excerpt obtained by The New York Times<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThen she\u2019d turn around and pad off without explanation.\u201d<\/p>\n A representative for the \u201cGimme More\u201d singer shared a statement with People<\/a><\/em> on Tuesday, October 14, regarding the book.<\/p>\n \u201cWith news from Kevin\u2019s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,\u201d the statement read. \u201cAll she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism.
